Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja is Associate Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management and Associate Dean (Graduate Programs) at Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB). He has been the Director of Executive MBA and Founding Director of MS in Supply Chain and Retail Management and a faculty member at SDSB since January 2014. He has been providing leadership and advice to Rausing Executive Development Center as the Faculty Director and in other roles.
 

Dr. Jajja completed Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship appointment of one year at Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability at Stanford University during 2023. He participated in the Global Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning at Harvard Business School, Boston in 2017 and 2018. He completed Ph.D. in Operations Management from Lahore University of Management Sciences (AACSB Accredited) in 2013, M.S. in Total Quality Management from University of the Punjab with the first position and Gold Medal in 2006, B.Sc. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore in 2004.
 

He has contributed significantly to advancing knowledge and understanding related to technology, sustainability and innovation issues in organizations and supply chains and frequently published in the world’s most prestigious journals of his field such as Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Production Planning & Control, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, Business Strategy and The Environment, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, International Journal of Logistics Management, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management. He has edited a special issue in International Journal of Logistics Management on impact of technology on supply chains in emerging and informal markets. He presents his research papers at renowned research conferences such as INFORMS, Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) and European Operations Management Association (EUROMA).
 

His pedagogical material including cases and notes has published in Harvard Business School Publishing, Case Research Journal of North American Case Research Association, and Asian Journal of Management Cases. He has written cases on organizations such as Service Industries Limited, Millat Tractors Limited, TCS, Daraz.pk, Nayatel, Reon, Metro Cash & Carry, and Qadri Group.
 

He has led numerous impactful research grants such as multi-year project Electrification: A First Step Towards Sustainable Mobility in Pakistan funded by CPEC Collaborative Research Grants and minimizing adulteration of lead in turmeric supply chain in Pakistan by Stanford University. His research and scholarship have earned several prestigious awards, including best research paper and teaching material accolades from international platforms such as DSI, POMS, Western Academy of Management, and more. Notably, during his Ph.D., he received the Best Student Paper Award at the Annual Meeting of DSI, the Emerging Economy Doctoral Student Award at the Annual Conference of POMS, and the Best Graduate Student Paper Award at the Annual Meeting of Western DSI. He also received the Doctoral Fellowship of the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia to collaborate with institutions such as the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and the Indian School of Business Hyderabad.
 

He has extensive experience in providing executive education and consultancy services. He has designed, directed, and taught several open enrolment and customized executive education programs in general management and specialized areas including supply chain management, retailing management, public and private sector procurement management, problem solving and decision making, technology and innovation management, participant-centred pedagogy, project management, and family business governance. His consultancy services and tailored executive education programs have benefited numerous international organizations including The World Bank, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Wateen Telecom, Haier Pakistan, International Water Management Institute (IWMI), WEConnect International, SAARC Energy Center, International Resources Group, Carrefour Pakistan and Pakistani organizations including Atlas Group, Pakistan Institute of Petroleum, GENCO Holding Company, Tapal Private Limited, Packages Group companies, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited, Punjab Reform Management Program, Punjab Irrigation Department, Punjab Higher Education Commission, Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority, Directorate General Monitoring and Evaluation Punjab, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, KP Irrigation and Agriculture Department, Qadri Group, Institute of Business Administration Sukkur, Air University, Peshawar Electric Supply Company, Super Asia Group and Lahore University of Management Sciences, showcasing his profound influence on executive development and strategic decision-making.
 

Prior to joining LUMS, he worked as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Business Administration Karachi for one year in 2013. Before PhD, he worked with Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority, Pakistan International Airlines, Atlas Honda, and Dawood Hercules Chemicals Limited over a period of around four years during 2005-08.
