Mr. Hassan Abdullah Niazi is a member of the adjunct faculty at LUMS where he currently teaches ‘Law, Technology & the Regulation of Social Media.’ He has over 12 years of legal experience spanning practice in Pakistan and Singapore.
Mr. Niazi is currently a Partner at Common Law Chambers where he leads the firm’s constitutional, regulatory, and technology disputes practice. From 2020-2025 he was the Lead Regulatory Counsel for the South & Central Asia region at Meta Platforms Inc. (formerly Facebook) based in Singapore. He played a key role in advising Meta’s leadership on complex freedom of expression and data protection issues across the region.
Mr. Niazi has taught in several law schools across Lahore with subjects ranging from Jurisprudence, Concept of Law, Constitutional Law, and Oral Advocacy. He holds an LL.M. from New York University where he was a Hauser Global Scholar, and an LLB (Hons) from the University of London where he graduated with a First Class Honours.
