Syed Hashim Mahmood Ali is a Teaching Fellow at the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He holds an MS in Finance from George Washington University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. Additionally, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program graduate. His undergraduate studies were completed at LUMS, earning a BSc in Accounting and Finance.
Hashim's expertise lies in digital finance and financial inclusion, particularly focusing on providing financial services to underbanked populations in emerging economies. He is actively engaged in Pakistan's startup ecosystem, both as a founder and mentor. Hashim co-founded Muawin, Pakistan's first digital working capital lending fintech, demonstrating his commitment to leveraging technology for financial empowerment. Moreover, he contributes to early-stage startups by serving on their boards and offering guidance on product development and fundraising strategies.
