Upcoming | Pathways to Development Conference
Save the date for the third edition of the Pathways to Development Conference, 2024. This year the theme is Governance and Inclusion, which recognizes the urgent need to strengthen governance systems amid growing inequalities and social fragmentation. This event will bring together leading research across economics, sociology, politics, and law, addressing governance and inclusion from multiple perspectives. Topics will span democratic governance, institutional reforms, social inclusion, and service delivery, as well as critical areas like public health, education, labour markets, climate change, and urban development. The conference aims to inspire impactful discussions on pathways to a more resilient and inclusive future for Pakistan.
The conference will be hosted at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Lahore, Pakistan, from December 16-18, 2024. The conference is jointly organised by the following consortium partners: CERP, Institute of Development & Economic Alternatives (IDEAS), Chaudhry Nazar Muhammad Department of Economics (CNM), Mahbub ul Haq Research Centre (MHRC), Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR), and the International Growth Centre (IGC).
